Vehicle Description
This is a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 190 body that has been welded onto a
2001 Mercedes-Benz 230 SLK Compressor chassis. All work was
professionally done in welded and formed steel. There is no
fiberglass on the body or chassis. Car is registered in California
as a 1958, this custom was a two-year build that was completed in
2018 and has been a daily driver since. The SLK chassis and engine
are stock and can be maintained at any Mercedes-Benz dealer. This
custom is powered by a stock 230ci 4-cylinder engine paired with a
5-speed automatic transmission and features all-redone chrome,
custom leather upholstery and polished red paint. Everything
functions as it should, except for the airbags, which are not
functional. There is a vertical scratch on the driver's door
window. This Mercedes-Benz looks like a classic, but drives like a
modern car with cruise control, ABS brakes, OBD and air
conditioning. The doors and trunk unlock with the key, and the
window cranks were kept original.
