Vehicle Description
This 1938 Ford Sedan has an incognito kind of cool. The pastel blue
color can feel like a cool pre-war classic... but then you see all
the details. The smooth exterior, custom interior, upgraded
suspension, and upgraded V8 power are all part of a very cool
street machine build.
The light blue is a classic shade with a modern shine. That seems
to set the tone right for this car. It's an all-steel body, and so
the color gives this vintage attitude respect, and the luster shows
off all those curves that are generations in the making. One curve
that is not original is the roofline. There are a few inches
chopped out of it to give the car a sleeker profile. In fact,
there's a lot of work in smoother lines. That's why there are
deleted door handles, fuel-mounted fuel filler, a frenched license
plate, and frenched bullet-style taillights. Even with these
upgrades, it still keeps the right classic details, too. The
teardrop headlights, pointed grille with V8 logo, chrome bumpers,
and two-piece windshield all make sure they do this steel-body Ford
proud.
When you pop the remote door openers, you'll find a custom interior
that combines touches of the exterior light blue exterior paint
with tasteful tan tweed upholstery. The front buckets are far more
modern than anything out of the '30s, so they have nice bolstering
for all-day comfort. The rear seats are even done with bucket-style
comfort. The full tweed package is everywhere from the carpeting to
the headliner, and it makes for both a uniform and clean look that
makes this custom quite comfortable. Plus, you've got great
upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input, proper vents, and
power windows. The classic banjo-style steering wheel is on a tilt
column, and so it gives you a clear view to the crisp Stewart
Warner gauges.
The Ford V8 logo on the front was not lying. But rather than a
flathead under the hood, this one goes for a more modern legend.
It's a hardy 302 cubic-inch V8, and it was certainly done to be on
display. The darker blue block looks great against the clean light
blue inner walls, and there's plenty of brightness, including the
Ford Motorsports valve covers. You'll also like the added power
this one brings with an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel, Edelbrock
intake, and Flamethrower ignition coil. You can also see that the
fundamentals are fresh, including the distributor, plug wires,
belt, and hoses. It's a strong motor that's at the heart of a great
driving package. The suspension was upgraded with tubular control
arms and coilovers up front, and there's a sway bar and air shocks
in the rear. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission, power
steering, power brakes w/front discs upfront, and modern tires all
make this a great anytime cruiser.
This is the sleek and upgraded Ford that also knows how to respect
its history. It makes for a complete and thoughtful build that you
know will be terrific to take home. Call today!!!
