This factory-born 1965 Mustang fastback was professionally
rotisserie-restored to Pro-Touring status. Hundreds of hours went
into the build, which was completed in December 2020, and the car
has 187 test miles since. The original sheet metal was solid prior
to restoration and has no patch panels or rust. The laser-straight
body is finished in Raven Black paint that was wet-sanded, buffed
and polished to a mirror-like shine. The exterior features a GT350R
front valance, GT350 fiberglass hood with billet hood push catches,
rechromed original vent windows, NOS glass trim, new wiper system,
custom sequential taillights, red Oracle halo LED headlights,
Ringbrothers billet hood hinges, door strikers, door lock pulls,
clutch reservoir and fender bolts, custom-made aluminum Coyote
valve cover plates, and custom-made Coyote red fender, tail panel
and interior emblems. The interior features Speedhut gauges and
tachometer, which have been fully calibrated to function correctly,
Sparco seats with 4-point harnesses, roll bar, rear seat delete,
Vintage Air Gen VI climate control, Ron Francis wiring harness,
ldidit tilt steering column with Billet Specialties wheel and a
Billet Specialties shifter with billet 6-speed shifter ball. This
custom Mustang fastback is powered by a Gen 1 Coyote Aluminator
302ci 8-cylinder crate engine with Manley rods from Ford Racing,
control pack and speed dial paired to a TREMEC T56 6-speed manual
transmission with a Modern Driveline complete clutch with hydraulic
throw-out bearing and Tilton slave. The engine is fed by a Tanks
fuel tank with pump, external filter and Teflon-coated stainless
lines and breathes through 2-1/2-inch exhaust with X-pipe and
Duramax mufflers. This Pro-Touring Mustang is equipped with a
9-inch Ford rear end with limited-slip and 3.70 gears, Mustang II
front suspension with QAl coilover shocks and narrowed control
arms, Heidts 4-link rear suspension with pan hard bar with QAI
coilover shocks, Detroit Speed mini-tubs, full frame connectors and
a brand-new custom-made driveshaft. A set of Wilwood brakes with
red 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, emergency brake, and
a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve provide the
stopping power to the 7x17 front and 9.5x17 rear ET III wheels
wrapped in Goodyear F1 tires.
