1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe convertible. All 50 Plymouth
convertibles were top of the line called Special Deluxe. Just out
of a serious estate collection. The gentleman even had his own
curtiator to care for his cars and his large grounds. Only 98K
miles, so only averaged 1381 miles/year! Always garaged, pampered
and maintained. Whatever she needed was done. + recent new gas tank
+ recent new radial tires + recent correct refinish (looks sweet) +
new top and back window and top felt + new seats, carpet and door
panels + new top lining and works + new gas sending unit, so works
+ new front to rear exhaust Excellent chrome and stainless
throughout. Radio and heater option, cool cowl vent, original
jacks, original owner's manual. Factory full gauge package and all
gauges work. Original South Dakota surviver with D.O.T. sticker.
South Dakota does not use salt, so no rust top or bottom. Plus,
convertibles were not driven in the winter especially this lady.
Also folks that own convertibles (more money) tend to keep them
clean, again like this one. Strong and smooth-running stock 6-cyl
with 3-speed old-school manual on the column. Clutch and brakes,
high gears all good. Just like the movie car in the famous movie of
1955 Strategic Air Command starring Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson.
Lots of fun to drive and show off. Have the only one at any car
show, especially in a convertible. Everyone has a Chevy or a Ford.
