This 1974 Ford F250 XLT Highboy is a very clean and restored truck
from the State of Washington. We sold this truck a couple of years
ago and just reacquired it. Unfortunately the person we sold it to
had some health issues and forced the sale. He only put around 750
miles on the truck. This truck was totally gone through starting in
2013 and finished in 2015. Since restoration there have only been
around 3,750 miles put on the truck in nice weather. It has
obviously not seen any salt since it is a western truck and only
very little rain. The body is really nice and really straight. It
looks to have all of the original sheet metal and we found no
evidence of rust on the body or rust repair. The original color of
this F250 was Red and when restored had it taken apart and
professionally painted Green. When it was apart he had the frame
painted and you can see how nice the underside is. The floors still
have the factory undercoating. It has the very cool dealer added
bumpers with the front one being winch ready. Before assembling the
body they added new weatherstripping, seals, gaskets, and body
bushings. The interior was also redone with custom bucket seats,
new headliner, new dash-pad, new door panels, and stereo with a
subwoofer. Really nice and clean interior.
The engine is a rebuilt 390 V8. It runs very string and smooth and
sounds great with the added dual exhaust. They added an Aluminum
Edelbrock Intake, Edelbrock Carb, Steinkes Headers, and a nice mild
cam. Everything under the hood is new or rebuilt. Transmission is a
C6 Automatic with a NP203 Transfer Case with Part Time 4WD kit
installed. Tranny shifts smooth and 4WD works. Dana 60 Rear Axle
and Dana 44 Open Knuckle Front Axle. 4.10 Gears. This is a true
factory Highboy sitting on 35 Inch tires that give a great look and
awesome stance. This is a great running and driving truck and all
lights, blinkers, wipers are working.
