Introduced in 1979, the 3rd generation Mustang was built on the
'Fox' platform. This virtually original 2-owner 1988 Mustang LX is
a nice example of this Gen3 'Hoss'. The factory White exterior is
in very good condition and Mustang alloy wheels mount Kumho Solus
radials. The original interior, upholstered in Regatta Blue cloth,
is also in good condition as is the power-assisted Navy Blue
soft-top. This Mustang is well optioned with A/C, power-tinted
windows, tilt wheel, power locks and factory AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The Mustang LX is powered by a 5.0L 'Windsor' V8 rated at 222 HP
and 300 lb/ft of torque with 9.0:1 compression. It is equipped with
EEC-IV Sequential Fuel Injection (580cfm) and has just recently
received a major service. (An invoice from Fox Mustang Restoration
documents all work performed.) It is backed by Ford's AOD 4-speed
automatic transmission and an 8.8" Trak-Lok differential that has
been completely refreshed. The chassis is equipped with power
rack/pinion steering and power brakes (front disc 10.84"D/ rear
drum 9"D). Front suspension is independent MacPherson struts (new)
and the rear is coil springs (new) and sway bar. This well
maintained Mustang LX ragtop will not be here long. Come take a
closer look at this classic. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
