For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

X66 code which is a 396 SS. It also has code 52 which is Garnet red. Both are very desirable. Just acquired from a millionaire's collection. He has owned it the last 9 years. It has great eye appeal, the big block and 5-speed should be a blast to drive.

EXTERIOR: SS= Super Sexy on this one. The combination of colors, features, stance and wheels are hot. The body is impressive. It is laser straight, fits really well. The bright red paint is slick, it even feels smooth to the touch including the stripes. It looks like a red mirror. The jambs are painted real nice, weatherstrips and sill plates were replaced. Front and rear windows were replaced. It looks like every piece of exterior trim including bumpers, mirrors, stainless moldings, marker lights etc were replaced. It has spoilers, cowl hood, no vinyl top, bumper guards and blacked out SS tail panel. Custom blacked out taillight bezels too. It rolls on polished 17 inch Torque Thrust wheels with Nitto performance tires, wider in back.

INTERIOR: Yeah, these sports seats will hold you right in place when you are carving up the back roads. The back seat is upholstered to match the front. Down on the floor it has new carpet and center console with a billet 5-speed indicator. It also his new round white face gauges. There is a new dash pad, heater control panel, factory 8-grand tachometer and a deluxe wheel on a tilt column. It has an upgraded Bluetooth stereo and 6x9 speakers. The door panels and armrests are in real good shape. The headliner has been replaced. The light works in the glovebox, has an owner's manual.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The strong running 454 motor has the rectangle port heads with an Edelbrock aluminium intake, dual feed Holley carb, Accel HEI ignition and a set of fat ceramic coated Hooker header. The front of the motor has billet timing chain cover, alternator, bracket and pulleys with serpentine belt system. It has a March billet power steering with remote reservoir and stainless steel braided hoses. It has power brakes too. It is dressed up with a set of cast aluminium Chevrolet valve covers. It runs cool with twin electric fans on a new radiator. Premium Hose Candy braided covers and fittings. Everything is clean and tidy. It has hood insulation, some nice looking fender supports, a filler panel if front of the radiator, the battery is bolted down.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Looks like it's all solid metal that has been spatter painted and has a rubber mat. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted gloss red. It has reproduction decals and weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it's been gone through. New polyurethane bushings on the sway bar, ball joints, shocks look fresh. It has been upgraded with a rack & pinion steering system. The subframe is tied to the back with frame connectors to prevent body twist. In back it has an upgraded sway bar, shocks, springs, shackles, bushings look new. Looking up at the motor it is clean, has a high torque starter. The trans is upgraded with a 5-speed Tremec. In back the 10 bolt rear end has a chrome cover. Great sounding custom exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel tank has been replaced, new sending unit. It has upgraded disc brakes in front with drilled and slotted rotors. E-brake cables looks new. Floors look to be in solid condition.
