Vehicle Description
This three-owner 1983 DeLorean DMC-12 is powered by a 2.8-liter V6
engine mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The current owner
has completed extensive mechanical restoration, performed over the
past eight years, including the fuel, electrical, electronic,
exhaust and cooling system. The interior is show-quality. The dash,
knee pads, side panels and consoles are free from any cracks,
splits or blemishes, and it has a dash mat for sun damage
protection. It also has a new headliner, which was installed by
DeLorean Motors in California. Additionally, the interior features
new DeLorean floor and rear shelf mats, a factory AM/FM radio with
cassette player and tinted side windows. Riding on new Falken
Touring tires, this DMC-12 has 38,872 actual miles and has been
driven only in the local area to car shows and charity events under
current ownership. Included with the car is a custom cover, five
shop/parts manuals, new brake pads, three new John DeLorean
autobiography books, four DeLorean car history and facts books, 10
original DeLorean Car & Driver and Road & Track magazines dating to
early 1980 and a 1981 and a DeLorean metal die-cast model in
original box. The car has been serviced per the recommended
schedule. Future work that needs to be done includes replacing the
sway bar bushings and steering column bushing, parts for which are
included in the sale. CARFAX shows mileage inconsistency on
