The C5 revived the Z06 name after many decades, and just like its
predecessors, this was all about awakening the beast. Adding power
and saving weight, this 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was the

We all know the legend of the Z06 by now. Chevy started with their
lightest and strongest Corvette configuration, the FRC (Fixed Roof
Coupe). Then they shed weight wherever they could, even including
utilizing a thinner windshield. The result was the leanest and
meanest Corvette to hit the streets. And so to have it born a slick
black machine only reinforces its menacing attitude. Of course,
what helps keep this factory-applied paint looking great is that it
has been treated as a classic from day one - averaging less than
900 miles annually. After all, 2003 was the Corvette's golden
anniversary, and so you want to keep a special car like this to the
gold standard. So the way the light rolls evenly across the whole
slick/straight body proves the presentation of this one is
superior. And as you look closer, you can also see little touches
that makes this one even more of a standout. All Z06s can have red
brake calipers from Chevy, but this one also brightens up the
Corvette scripts around the body to really let you know it's out
for blood. The clear driving lights and titanium exhaust tips are
nice added details of distinction. Plus, this one really gets
extra-dark thanks to deeply tinted windows and a black finish to
the upgraded C6 Z06 wheels (standard C5 Z06 alloys also come with

Inside is exactly what you expect from a special Corvette. It's a
loaded interior that's comfortable for two. The black leather
buckets set the tone for the dark interior, and just like the
exterior, the special Z06 stitching provides a great bold red
detail. Low mileage means little seat time, so everything is in top
condition. You'll never get tired of watching the gauges do their
dance every time you start the engine... but the head-up display
means you never have to take your eyes off the road during
performance driving. You'll also love some added details, like the
special 50th anniversary badging on the steering wheel and an added
short-throw shifter. And more than just track-focused, this car
offers plenty of luxuries, such as dual-zone automatic A/C climate
control, power steering, power windows, keyless entry/alarm, power
mirrors, power seats, cruise control, and a Bose AM/FM/CD stereo
system. Because this is a modern classic, it also means modern

with this Z06.)
Even the engine bay continues the theme of a blackout package with
some bold red detail. The full motor package looks stock, and
that's because these never needed anything added to be awesome.
Chevy built the 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS6 motor to be a
juggernaut with 405 horsepower. But while this is the kind of
condition you'll want to collect, we also know you won't be able to
resist adding to the low mileage odometer. After all, the six-speed
manual transmission gives you complete control over all the power
and fury the V8 brings. As a true competition machine, this
received its own suspension upgrade package to make the fully
independent setup perform at its best during high speeds. And
