Vehicle Description
This 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is the best of modern classics
for all-around driver enjoyment. After all, it's a drop-top sports
machine with Ram Air and the WS6 handling package. And since its
distinct color combo has a maintained appearance, you know its
desirability goes well beyond its affordable price.
These later fourth-gen Trans Ams really had a nice and aggressive
design. The front end had plenty of scoops to channel air into the
motor and around the car. Plus, this has a factory ground effects
body kit and one of the best integrated rear spoilers around. So it
feels like this Firebird T/A wants to fly across the asphalt. This
is even upgraded with aggressive red brake calipers and polished
wheels that look like they were borrowed from a Corvette ZR-1. The
Arctic White looks good on this car. The presentation is highly
original, and so it has been enjoyed over the years, but there's an
underlying feeling of premium because white always does a good job
of radiating on a sunny day. Plus, the tan convertible top is a
distinctive piece we don't see very often that adds to the
upper-class image.
Because this one looks so good with the tan folding roof, you'll be
quite happy to see a full tan interior - so you can have an
eye-catching color combo with the top up or down. Deeply sculpted
leather buckets are supportive enough for the spirited driving that
this car encourages, and you get to power adjust yours to the ideal
driving position. In fact, as the top-of-the-line machine, you get
a ton of great features. That means power locks, dual airbags,
anti-lock brakes, a tilt wheel, cruise control, keyless
entry/alarm, and the premium Monsoon AM/FM/CD stereo. But the
features we know you'll love the best are the power windows and
power convertible top. When used together, you don't have to leave
the driver's seat to go from enclosed comfort to a
wind-in-your-hair experience. And because the air conditioning is
blowing cold, you can do this all through the summer season.
Checking the WS6 option at your Pontiac dealer meant the Corvette's
LS1 5.7-liter motor would be living under your hood. But the
upgrades to the fuel-injected V8 did not stop there. The Ram Air
intake boosted power to 325 hp. The entire engine bay looks like it
has been given good maintenance, and everything appears stock,
right down to the factory decals. This motor is famous for
delivering better power than its predecessors in a lighter package,
and so that drives its collectability today. And we all know the
WS6 sports suspension is great for driving fun now, and it's
exactly what Pontiac fans look for in collectibles. Add this to
four-wheel power disc brakes, a four-speed automatic transmission
w/overdrive, and BF Goodrich gForce Super Sport tires, and you know
you're looking at a terrific all-around drop-top classic.
Complete with owner's manual, this Trans Am offers a distinct
style, plenty of power, and it's all offered for a terrific price.
