Vehicle Description
Starting as a 1988 BMW 325i convertible, this vehicle has undergone
a large overhaul. The original engine has been replaced with an EFI
Ford 5.0-liter V8 from a 1992 Ford Mustang configured with COMP 251
Cams, Ford GT intake manifold and an oversized cooling system.
Backing the engine is a 5-speed manual transmission. To make room
for the V8, the BMW no longer has power brakes or air conditioning,
but in place of the stock brakes place now sit 6-piston Wilwood
brakes, fully updated hard-lines and stainless-steel brake lines.
While the air conditioning is not currently in the car, there is
room in the engine bay for it. The rest of the undercarriage has
undergone a full overhaul. The front suspension has been completely
replaced with new control arms, tie-rod ends, bushings, wheel
bearings and fully height-adjustable 16-way adjustable coilovers.
The rear end has all-new bushings, subframe bushings and received
corrosion-resistant coating. To breathe, the car has a custom
American Muscle exhaust with dual 2.25-inch tubes directed from the
headers, and it sports a 3.73 rear end. The interior has been
updated and refreshed, and both the front and rear seats have been
reupholstered with new cow leather. The canvas convertible roof has
been completed replaced and works smoothly. The exterior paint is
in good condition, but not excellent; it has a few blemishes.
