This 1947 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery is a custom build that updates
everything you want. That means a two-tone exterior with plenty of
pinstriping, a custom A/C interior, and plenty of V8 power under
the hood.
We love the shape of the 1947 Chevy because its history makes it a
pre-WWII design that returned briefly to be part of the post-WWII
recovery. And while that makes this commercial vehicle an integral
part of our great economic boom time, it's days of industrial duty
are long gone. It now has a terrific custom look that includes
frenched headlights, clear headlights, sport mirrors, shaved door
handles, expertly eliminated trim, and taillights integrated into
the custom flush rear pan design. The two-tone design is great for
both a classic and street machine style. In fact, this one skews
more toward the hot rod feeling with plenty of artful custom
pinstriping and a finish that has been used for some Saturday night
fun. In other words, it has an impressive look that also shows it
was made to be driven. So the full appeal here about a cool custom
that wants to be shown off everywhere.
The full interior is a modern and comfy setup. It starts with
velour bucket seats up front that are designed to be all-day easy.
You'll slip behind a Lecarra sport steering wheel mounted on a tilt
column. Beyond that, the dash is dominated by crisp classic-style
VDO gauges. This one is built with plenty of modern amenities, like
an AM/FM/CD stereo, center console w/cup holders, and cold-blowing
R134a air conditioning. The rear section has the wide door for
deliveries, but the fully finished carpeting and upholstered sides
let you know this is more about being the ultimate tailgater.
The engine bay instantly shows a true upgrade in power. After all,
the small block generation was a decade away when this was first
built, but you can see the V8 fits nicely with even some room for
polished fair. This stout Chevy 350 cubic-inch powerplant has
upgraded performance with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Holley
intake, and MSD ignition. It fires up readily and makes a sweet
tune out of the dual exhaust. Plus, the TH400 three-speed automatic
transmission is both stout and smooth. You also have an upgraded
independent front suspension, power steering, power brakes w/discs
up front, and the modern grip of Falken tires.
This is the full custom that has a huge practical side. So if you
love to use your classics, this one is ready to go everywhere. Call
