Vehicle Description
Custom-built by Paul Newman for Jerry Brassfield and dubbed
"Dueception," this 1932 Phaeton is equipped with a Porsche 928
drivetrain, including a water-cooled aluminum 4.5-liter SOHC V8
engine with four Dell'Orto carburetors and 3-speed automatic
transmission. The exterior is finished in red and features running
boards, 3-piece hood, and grille shell, which are all hand-formed
in metal. This custom Phaeton sits on a 1.5-inch steel tube frame
with custom spindles, KONI shocks and independent rear suspension,
along with disc brakes featuring Porsche 930 rotors, Girling master
cylinder and Tilton balance bar. The interior features Connolly
leather seats by Sid Chavers and Dave Putnam with matching custom
luggage, 1981 Porsche instrument panel molded into the dash, CD
player and car phone. This Phaeton also has a custom roll bar and
