Offered here is a built, not bought 1968 Chevrolet Camaro that's
ready for some fun on the road, and maybe a few car events. Our
client acquired the car from a retired gentleman a few years ago,
and spent a lot of time and money making it one mean street
machine. The car was restored and finished in Hugger Orange over a
restored Black interior. The immediately recognizable stance and
silhouette of the first generation Camaro was changed slightly
during the restoration. We should first mention that the body is
all original - no panels have been replacedThe cowl-induction hood
with a larger cowl than the factory unit is the most obvious
change. In addition, the car has a slight forward rake thanks to
Hotchkis Suspension components, and a set of 17 Boyd Coddington
multi-piece billet wheels finish off the look. A rear spoiler,
color matched front spoiler, and SS badges on the front fender are
other highlights of the exterior. The car was originally Teal Blue
(code L) but the Hugger Orange fits this car's personality a little
better than a somewhat subdued hue of Teal. A number of changes are
immediately visible once you've taken a good look at the interior.
The car left the factory with black trimmed bucket seats, which
remain in the car now. An AutoMeter Tach and shift light
combination, AutoMeter auxiliary gauges, a Sidewinder Shifter, and
Kenwood stereo stand out in the otherwise standard looking
interior. The interior is in very good condition with nice
upholstery on the seats and door cards, and new carpeting
underfoot. Under the hood is a L88 427ci V8 mated to a TH400
transmission. The engine has a number of aftermarket components
that have been added. Holley 4bbl carburetor, Weiand intake
manifold, MSD Ignition, aluminum radiator, and Mickey Thompson
valve covers are a few highlights of the drivetrain. White coated
headers end in a pair of Flowmaster mufflers at the rear of the
car. It is a remarkable build with just over 1,500 miles recorded
since completion. It runs extremely well and is ready for some fun
runs down the drag strip, or cruising to car shows. Be sure to
