This 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible is rare example of one of
Dodge's best selling '60s models. The Coronet has received a
partial restoration (paint/top) and the owner has included the
Dodge Shop Manual and actual '66 Dodge 'Rebellion' marketing
literature. A full respray of Daffodil Yellow (1995) is in good
condition along with all chrome/stainless. The original Gold/Green
cloth/vinyl interior is also in good condition as is the new power
convertible top. The Coronet 500 is equipped with full console,
wood/alloy wheel, factory gauges, original AM radio and cold
Vintage Air. It was delivered with a 361ci 'B-Series' (K-code)
engine that appears to have been replaced at some point with a
318ci 'A-Series Poly-Head' motor. This engine was the V-8 standard
for many Chrysler products throughout the mid-60s. Fitted with a 2V
carb, the 318 'Poly-Head' outputs 230hp and this one sounds strong.
It is backed by a Chrysler 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic
transmission and the chassis is equipped with power steering, power
drum brakes and torsion bar front suspension. The owner has done
recent brake work including a new master and some front suspension
components have also been upgraded. Magnum 500 wheels mount nice
radials. This Dodge Coronet 500 convertible is a bona fide classic
MOPAR. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
