Vehicle Description
Built as the ultimate Mopar track car, the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR
(American Club Racer) is one of the fastest street-legal production
cars ever. Fitted with the Extreme Aero Package, the ACR set 13
track records around the United States. This example is fitted with
that package, which includes a 15-way adjustable carbon-fiber rear
wing, which is 1,876 mm (6 feet) wide and works in tandem with an
extended rear diffuser, adjustable front splitter and pair of
carbon-fiber dive planes. The result is 1,700 pounds of downforce
at top speed. Power comes from an 8.4-liter naturally aspirated V10
engine that produces 645hp and 600 ft/lbs of torque. All that power
is put to the ground via a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission and
massive ultra-high-performance Kumho Ecsta V270 tires. The
200-treadwear tires are 295mm up front and 355mm wide at the rear
and wrap around a set of 19-inch wheels. With 817 actual miles,
this Viper is finished in Billet Silver and wears black and red
stripes. Additional options include a premium sound system, GPS
navigation and leather-wrapped steering wheel. While certified as a
street-legal car, the ACR was designed and engineered to be the
best track car possible. From the Larry Winkler Collection.
