Vehicle Description
This custom 1967 Mustang GT500 re-creation has undergone a fresh,
no-expense-spared, professional rotisserie restoration with
attention to detail in every aspect of the build and 2,000
shakedown miles since completion. It's finished in Raven Black with
white racing stripes over a black interior adorned with
stainless-steel dashboard and door panel trim. Power comes from a
rebuilt 428ci Super Cobra Jet Police Interceptor big-block engine
fitted with a modern FAST fuel-injection system, Edelbrock
Performer top engine kit with aluminum heads and intake, Performer
cam, timing chain and roller rocker arms. The engine is mated to a
Monster 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. This Mustang sits
on a complete RideTech suspension system, including coilover shocks
at all four corners and a 4-link rear end holding a Ford 9-inch
posi-traction differential with 4.10 gears. It also features
Borgeson power steering, and OEM-type front power disc brakes with
drum rear brakes. It has an OEM-type gas tank with an internal
electric fuel pump. The restoration includes a reproduction Shelby
fiberglass hood, real NOS fiberglass Shelby decklid, new floor pans
and torque boxes, new frames under the front floor, new spring
boxes and rocker panels, new quarter-panels and fenders, new chrome
trim and weatherstripping and Expel Ultimate Plus no-scratch paint
protection film covering. The interior was restored with Scott
Drake Sport-R Series fastback standard/deluxe interior, new molded
carpet and dash pads, new headliner and sun visors, reproduction
Shelby wood steering wheel, new heater box, heater core and
controls, Classic Instruments All American Nickel Series gauge set,
Lokar Performance Products floor shifter, Dynamat sound-deadening
and heat shield throughout the interior, custom AutoSound stereo
with auxiliary input and kick panel Kenwood speakers. This Mustang
rides on Magstar aluminum wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich 245/60/15
front and 255/60/15 rear tires. It was awarded First in Class
Winner at the Wauconda Fest Car Show. This documented build has a
