Vehicle Description
This custom 1967 Mustang GT500 re-creation has undergone a fresh,
no-expense-spared, professional rotisserie restoration with
attention to detail in every aspect of the build and 2,000
shake-down miles since completion. It's finished in Raven Black
with white racing stripes over a black interior adorned with
stainless-steel dashboard and door panel trim. Power comes from a
rebuilt 428ci engine fitted with a modern FAST fuel-injection
system, Edelbrock Performer top engine kit with aluminum heads and
intake, Performer cam, timing chain and roller rocker arms. The
engine is mated to a Monster 4-speed automatic overdrive
transmission. This Mustang sits on a complete RideTech suspension
system, including coilover shocks at all four corners and a 4-link
rear end holding a Ford 9-inch posi-traction differential with 4.10
gears. It also features Borgeson power steering, and OEM-type front
power disc brakes with drum rear brakes. It has an OEM-type gas
tank with an internal electric fuel pump. The restoration includes
a reproduction Shelby fiberglass hood, real NOS fiberglass Shelby
decklid, new floor pans and torque boxes, new frames under the
front floor, new spring boxes and rocker panels, new quarter-panels
and fenders, new chrome trim and weatherstripping and Expel
Ultimate Plus no-scratch paint protection film covering. The
interior was restored with Scott Drake Sport-R Series fastback
standard/deluxe interior, new molded carpet and dash pads, new
headliner and sun visors, reproduction Shelby wood steering wheel,
new heater box, heater core and controls, Classic Instruments All
American Nickel Series gauge set, Lokar Performance Products floor
shifter, Dynamat sound-deadening and heat shield throughout the
interior, custom AutoSound stereo with auxiliary input and kick
panel Kenwood speakers. This Mustang rides on Magstar aluminum
wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich 245/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear
tires. It was awarded First in Class Winner at the Wauconda Fest
Car Show. This documented build has a professional hardcover photo
book, video and paper documentation, along with a copy of the Marti
Report.
