Richly finished in House of Kolor Kona paint, this full-custom 1958 Chevrolet Apache is the inspired product of a professional build. Featuring a totally massaged body and beautifully finished cargo bed with many subtle tweaks, the Apache's interior was tastefully customized with custom two-tone leather upholstery and a custom headliner and carpeting, all professionally trimmed. A Vintage Air climate-control system provides year-round comfort with billet controls, Classic Instruments gauges monitor vital functions, and a high-end audio system includes a Cerwin Vega amplifier, Infiniti speakers and a subwoofer inside custom enclosures. All-new glass and weatherstripping provide great visibility and quietness while cruising. Motivation is provided by a fuel-injected Chevy LT1 350ci V8 engine equipped with a custom high-performance fuel system and cooled by a C4 Corvette radiator with a Moroso coolant reservoir. Polished headers feed a TIG-welded, jet-coated 2.5-inch dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers. Billet valve covers and a hand-built set of air cleaner and engine covers finish off the powerplant. Power is delivered by a Lokar-shifted GM 4L60E automatic transmission equipped with a billet fluid cooler to a C4 Corvette differential. High-performance underpinnings include a complete C4 Corvette suspension system, including power rack & pinion steering, plus QA1 coilover shocks front and rear. Braking is upgraded to match with C4 disc brakes all around, supported by a frame-mounted power booster and master cylinder with stainless-steel lines and hoses.
