Built on March 28, 1968, and sold new at Sam Leman Chevrolet, Inc.,
in Roanoke, IL, this 1968 Camaro is a true Z/28 as documented by
Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance; the certificate and
paperwork are included with the car. Factory options include tinted
glass, spoiler, posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gear ratio, power
disc brakes, AM radio, Rally Sport equipment, Z/28 special engine
and equipment package and the special interior group. This Camaro
is powered by a new GM Performance ZZ4 350ci 8-cylinder engine
that's been detailed to look like the original 302/290hp and is
paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It retains its original
12-bolt 3.73 rear end and leaf springs, original hidden VIN stamp
on the cowl, original brake booster, original Muncie speedometer
hole in the firewall, and the original factory holes for the Z/28
emblems, all verified and documented by MacNeish. The original
E70x15 tire pressure decal is still on glove box door. This Z/28
has undergone a recent no-expense-spared restoration and is
finished in show-quality Tuxedo Black paint with original black
deluxe interior and highly detailed engine compartment and
undercarriage. A select offering from a private collection.
