Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery was the recipient of a
comprehensive frame-off restoration and is one of just 92 produced
by General Motors in 1957. This example was built at the Oakland,
CA, plant and sold new in the Pacific Northwest. It's presented in
an Onyx Black finish with great chrome and a Silver Cobblestone
cloth and vinyl two-tone interior. The standard 210 steering wheel
is right at home in front of the factory dash package. Adding to
its exclusivity, the Sedan Delivery was custom ordered as a
stripped-down version and is a radio and heater delete model. Under
the hood the 283ci V8 engine is factory upgraded and incorporates a
Duntov mechanical camshaft with a set of dual 4-barrel carburetors
sitting atop. The exclusive batwing air cleaner is present, as well
as the Fenton exhaust manifolds. Slathered in Chevy Orange paint,
the power plant is further accented by the Chevrolet insignia valve
covers. All 270hp is routed through the column-shifted 3-speed
manual transmission and placed to the pavement via the standard
steel wheels that feature poverty hubcaps. This '57 looks great
from top to bottom; even the chassis has been highly detailed. From
the Raser Collection.
