Vehicle Description
This 1969 Chevrolet is a fine example of an original 396 Super
Sport and possesses a high level of originality coupled with a long
list of factory-installed option content. Believed to be a
one-owner car with 24,374 actual miles (the title reads mileage
exempt), the Chevrolet - which was previously owned by Chuck
Hansen, president of the American Chevelle Enthusiasts Society -
has been meticulously restored to its former glory and looks great
in its Tuxedo Black paint with matching interior. Well-optioned
with the Super Sport package, this Chevelle boasts an L34 Turbo Jet
396ci big-block V8 engine topped with a chrome factory air cleaner
and valve covers. This highly detailed engine is mated to a Turbo
400 3-speed automatic transmission. A Gardener dual exhaust system
makes all the right sounds, while the A.I.R. smog system keeps the
fumes at the proper level. The extensive list of factory options
includes power brakes, power steering and air conditioning. Inside
the bench seat interior is a tilt steering column that houses the
original wood steering wheel. A factory in-dash tachometer is
surrounded by a cluster of gauges to monitor the Chevelle operating
conditions. Other options include tinted glass, AM/FM radio and
auxiliary interior lighting. Certified by renowned Chevelle expert
Jerry MacNeish, this Super Sport has been authenticated that the
engine, transmission and rear axle are the original units installed
at the Chevrolet factory. Also included are the original vehicle
invoice, purchase contracts and owner's manual. This Chevelle is a
rotisserie-restored, concours-level model that is ready for its new
owner. From the Raser Collection.
