Vehicle Description
This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 was repainted Wimbledon White two years
ago with new rubber seals and refreshed bits of hardware. It's been
upgraded with a freshly built healthy 302ci V8 engine, which was
built by Stan Johnson at Ford Powertrain. The engine bay was
cleaned and repainted satin black to accent the newly built
powertrain. Backing the engine is a 4-speed metric overdrive
automatic transmission with a stall converter. Added revisions to
the car include a mini-tub to fit a larger tire and wheel width.
The front and rear seats were sent out to get reupholstered to
match the door cards. Even the undercarriage was blown apart and
sprayed with undercoating to prevent rust, and the control arms,
shocks and springs were resprayed in a clean gloss black. New front
brakes and brake calipers were installed, and the trim was
professionally straightened and polished. This '64 was originally
built in San Jose, CA, and sold new in Downey, CA. It includes its
original Build Sheet, Window Sticker and owner's manual.
