Vehicle Description
This 1966 Nova was stripped to bare metal before being sprayed in
Bolero Red and sports like-new chrome, glass and trim work. It has
a steel cowl hood, new weatherstripping and rubber components
throughout, and an all-new restored factory-style interior with
AutoMeter gauges and a factory center console housing an
aftermarket B&M shifter. The 496ci 8-cylinder engine is based
on a Dart Big M block fitted with a hydraulic roller cam, Edelbrock
Vic Jr. intake, Brodix BB2 heads, Northern aluminum radiator with
electric fans, Edelbrock aluminum water pump, MSD coil and 6AL box
and a Mallory 140GPH electric pump. Backing the engine is a rebuilt
3-speed automatic transmission with deep pan, shift kit, braided
stainless-steel cooling lines throughout, reverse valve body and a
2800 stall converter. Custom-built 2-1/8-inch headers feed into the
massive 4-inch exhaust and full 3.5-inch tailpipes. The chassis is
upgraded with a Checkered Racing 2x3x3/16 front clip, subframe
connectors, QA1 adjustable coilover shocks, 2-inch drop spindles,
and drilled and slotted rotors. It sports a narrowed Moser 12-bolt
rear end with C-clip eliminator kit, Eaton posi-traction with 4.10
Richmond gears, new multi-leaf springs and traction bars, Weld Pro
Star wheels and custom-formed inner fenders.
