The limited-production Designo Launch Edition SL500 was only
available for one year. With an original MSRP of $112,000, this car
is fully optioned. This was the first year for the newly redesigned
SL500 with a fully automatic retractable hardtop. Other options
include Designo steering wheel, heated and cooled seats, xenon
headlamps, multi-contour leather-trimmed seats, special Designo
trim package, suede headliner, DVD navigation and Launch Edition
Package. It is equipped with the 5.0-liter 302hp V8 engine and an
automatic transmission. It's finished in Designo Silver over black
premium leather and has been well-maintained and always stored
indoors. It has had the same owner for 17 years and has 21,600
actual miles (the title reads mileage exempt) and has a clean
