Vehicle Description
A technologic milestone, the BMW K1 was designed for cruising at
150 mph on the Autobahn and was the first to feature factory ABS.
The radical aerodynamic design is courtesy of 7-piece fiberglass
fairings, and the K1 has just a 0.34 drag coefficient. This BMW is
powered by a 100hp 987cc DOHC inline-4 engine mated to a manual
transmission and is one of 6,900 produced. From the Larry Winkler
Collection.
