1967 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 138 VIN REAL SS This 1967 Chevelle is an exceptionally clean Southern car. Factory color code R, Bolero Red on a straight clean rust free body. The paint is polished to a very high gloss finish. The fit and finish is excellent. Up front the headlight bezels and trim are nice along with the front grill. The emblems are in good shape and believe to be original, the front bumper is nice and shiny and the window trim is in good condition. The wing windows are in good condition with nice rubber seals. The hood louvers, mirrors, door handles and vinyl top moldings look new. The rear bumper is nice and shiny as well as the Super Sport emblems. It has a factory rear antenna. It sits on a set of 14" Chevy Rally wheels with Chevy flat caps and trim rings wrapped with Firestone redline tires. The engine bay is tastefully done, with a period correct 396 375 hp, casting # 3969854, with some bolt-on high performance add-ons: 2.5" ceramic coated headers, Mallory HEI ignition, aftermarket chrome valve covers, chrome alternator, 8mm Mallory plug wires, rectangular port heads, Winters aluminum intake manifold, 750 dual feed Holley carburetor, factory Harrison 4-core radiator with factory fan shroud and a new engine wiring harness. The engine bay has a nice satin black finish. The interior is mostly original and in exceptional condition from carpet to headliner. The dash is original and well preserved. All the factory gauges work. The dash still has its original AM radio. The heater controls slide with ease. The factory steering wheel is like new, all dash knobs are like new, armrests and bases are like new, door panels are nice and the dash pad has no cracks. The 4-speed console is excellent, the clock works, kick panels are good, front and rear seatbelts. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean and all original rust free. The bottom of the engine is clean as well as the Muncie 4-speed transmission. All the suspension and front end parts look good. The 3" dual FlowMaster exhaust runs all the way out the back. It has electric cut-outs which can be easily removed. The whole undercarriage is painted in a black finish. It has a 12 bolt posi rear end with boxed in control arms and a sway bar, new air shocks, gas tank and straps are like new. The E-brake cables are all hooked up and working. The trunk is very impressive. All original metal, the quarter panels have never been cut off! The trunk jambs have factory seams and numbers that are clean and readable.
