STK 2887 1997 Jeep Cherokee SE Sport
Jeep built the XJ Series Cherokee from 1983 through 2001 and it
helped revolutionize the 4x4 market as the first 'compact' 4-door
SUV with Uni-body construction and a 'shift-on-the-fly' 4WD system.
Anyone who knows about the Cherokee XJ will tell you that it is
virtually indestructible. This all-original 1997 Cherokee SE 4WD is
a rare example of this classic Jeep. Most XJs have not led
'pampered' life-styles, but that is the case here. Our amazing XJ
has been owned by only one family since new and with an odometerr
reading of under 45,000 miles still looks virtually new. The
original exterior Stone White finish has been carefully maintained
and factory steel wheels mount radial tires in fair condition. Up
top there is a nice adjustable roof rack system. The original cloth
interior is in outstanding condition and shows very little wear.
Our SJ is equipped with cold A/C, dual front airbags, 6-speaker
AM/FM/cassette stereo and fold down rear seat. Under the hood is
one of Jeep's best-ever engines - the 4.0L straight 6-cylinder with
Chrysler's JTEC engine management system and MPI fuel injection. It
runs like new and is backed by a 4-speed OD automatic with
Command-Trac 4WD. The chassis is equipped with power steering and
power disc/drum brakes. This Cherokee is more than ready for a new
owner who will appreciate and enjoy this classic Jeep XJ. ALL
