Vehicle Description

Looking for a cool piece of Americana that'll turn heads anywhere it goes? Looking for a powerful classic that mixes the best virtues of modern hot rodding with the timeless style of Motor City muscle? Just pick up the phone, call your friends at RK Motors Charlotte and we'll hook you up with a great car like this sweet Camaro resto-mod! Combining proven LS3 power with a tough Tremec 5-speed and suave green and black aesthetics, this gruff ground-pounder draws big crowds and big compliments. And if you're one of the many enthusiasts looking for a fun classic that's unrelentingly cool, it's your ticket to good times and great memories!

THE GREATNESS OF GREEN

Thanks to acute restoration that's been performed as needed, this fantastic F1 wraps timeless Chevrolet style around retro comfort and precise performance! The foundation for that varied appeal is a clean body that's been massaged strikingly straight. Those lines are coated in glossy two-stage that decks dynamic green base in familiar white Hockey Stripes. And today, this cool Camaro makes an easy habit of both stealing the show and owning the street!

At the front of this fetching coupe, a stainless-trimmed grille centers a bright "SS" emblem between traditional headlights, a polished bumper and a familiar D80 chin spoiler. Above that grille, a Camaro-branded header leads a sweet Super Sport Hood, which fronts stainless-trimmed glass that's cleared by Detroit Speed wipers. At the sides of that glass, a crisp profile hangs hooped door handles between factory mirrors, bright drip rails and ornate quarter louvers. Those louvers shade simple rocker guards, which look great pointing at factory marker lamps, tasteful Camaro SS badging and trick "376" fender scripts. And, opposite those scripts, a guarded bumper reflects retro taillights, a clean "SS" emblem and a second D80 spoiler.

SMALL BLOCK GLORY

Take a look in this Chevy's engine bay and you'll find 376 cubic inches of hot GM small block that was sourced directly from the pros at Chevrolet Performance! One of the most well-rounded V8s the General has ever offered, the generation IV LS3 utilizes aluminum construction, L92-style heads and a proven hydraulic roller cam to mix miles of thrills with years of reliable cruising. And, churning stout 10.7 to 1 compression into an easy 430 horsepower in its most basic form, the smooth-revving mill is certainly no slouch! Front and center, a remote filter cone caps bright air tubing. KWiK Performance serpentine components spin a factory water pump between a factory alternator and an aftermarket AC compressor. A lightweight aluminum radiator parks a billet expansion tank next to a quick-spinning puller fan. A small Wilwood clutch cylinder complements a modern brake booster. Proven AC Delco plug wires join a quality Holley oil pan and long Kooks headers to detail an otherwise purpose-built performer. And everything rides in a tidy, Satin Black engine bay that's finished with color-keyed brace bars.

EVEN BETTER

The gnarly LS3 sends power to a proven Tremec 5-speed which, dressed in a tough scattershield, spins torque to a trusty Ford 9-inch that's finished with 31-spline axles. That exceptionally fun drivetrain is framed by a thoughtfully upgraded suspension, which seats a Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear-clip under Detroit Speed mini tubs. When the road starts to twist, factory-style power steering maximizes driver input. Power-assisted stops are greatly improved by a second set of calipers and two drilled rotors. Spent gases race from the aforementioned headers into an H-shaped crossover, Borla Pro XS mufflers, SpinTech race mufflers and polished, side-exit tips. And rubber scars the pavement thanks to dramatic American Racing Rodders, which turn 245/40ZR18 Nitto NT555s in front of 295/40ZR18 Nitto NT555s.

TASTEFULLY UPDATED

The Standard Black Interior hiding behind this Camaro's short doors is a mostly factory affair that's been tastefully updated where it counts. Choice Recaro buckets frame a short shifter and a handy fire extinguisher. In front of that stick, a factory dash hangs Dakota Digital HDX above a modern Alpine head unit that bumps crisp Polk Audio speakers. That seat, dash and shifter trifecta is completely framed by a tight headliner, fade-free side panels and clean carpet that's protected by color-keyed mats. And the driver wheels a handsome Ferrero wheel around a cool SS horn button.

With its awesome small block, cool aesthetics and road-ready chassis, this Camaro is the very definition of American muscle. In the market for a top-notch classic that can steal the show and own the road? This Chevy is your kind of car!
