Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Big Back Window pickup is a freshly built
restomod with EVERYTHING you want. That means you not only have a
custom body with award-worthy paint, but also you'll be putting a
mirror under this one to show off an undercarriage better detailed
than most other people's exteriors. The interior is a bold and
fresh luxury experience. And the fuel-injected powerhouse gives you
the muscle to really enjoy the fully independent suspension to the
fullest. Oh yes, this is a true dream truck.
When you're going to make something this awesome, you also want to
start with great roots. 1955 was the debut year for the Task Force
trucks. It was a shortened model year, which makes these rare, and
this even has the desirable big back window style. So that's the
right base for a truck to undergo a two-year full restoration that
was completed in 2020. And you can see the extra quality that comes
from taking the time to get a build right. The paint is House of
Kolors Triple Black. With a name like that, you can expect a gloss
and depth that you'd think was reserved for a grand piano. And
because this wants to be as sleek and pure as possible, they
expertly deleted the trim and integrated spoon-style flush door
handles. It gives a modern take to these awesome vintage lines. And
you see that attitude everywhere. Up front the shine of the chrome
bumper, chrome grille, and crystal clear headlights show off a big
investment in giving this Chevy a brighter face. The bed still has
rear wood on the floor, but it's a smooth and glossy premium
lumber. And salt flat style wheels are a classic addition, but the
20-inch size means you get to fit modern tires on this performance
pickup.
The full red interior makes for a terrific and aggressive full
color combo against the deep black exterior. The leatherette
upholstery has a supple feel and a tailored feel to the premium
stitching. Plus, each of these bucket seats individually power
adjust to the ideal position. This pickup comes loaded with power
windows, a tilt steering column, a cup holder center console, and
an AM/FM/CD/ touchscreen stereo with Bluetooth. And R134a air
conditioning keeps the big airy cab feeling cool. Even with all the
upgrades, this one still unmistakably feels very vintage. For
example, the steering wheel has a classic '55 Bel Air-style design,
but it now has a smaller diameter for a sporty feel. And the
original fan-style gauge cluster is another stock-like piece, but
when you press the start button, this full digital package has a
cool red glow to match the interior.
The engine bay loves to use the dark and slick inner walls to
funnel your attention to the upgraded heart in the middle. And this
motor really deserves extra attention. After all, when was the last
time you saw a build take the time to get candy apple red metallic
paint on the block and heads? More than just look award-worthy,
you'll love that they gave this classic Chevy a modern heart with a
5.3-liter LS-based truck motor. This fuel-injected powerhouse even
has the right supporting pieces like an upgraded intake and a PRC
aluminum radiator with dual fans. The upgraded V8 is mated to a
modern 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, just like in a C5
Corvette... and that's not the only 'Vette inspired piece. The
front and rear independent suspensions are C4-style designs. So
this pickup handles like a sports car! And thanks to all the candy
apple red also on the suspension and pans, you'll love showing off
this awesome upgrade with pride. Add in power steering, four-wheel
power disc brakes, and the grippy sport tires, and you know you'll
also be adding plenty of miles to this fresh build.
With such a fresh look and so many cool upgrades in this full
custom truck, you know this has no equal. So if you're quick enough
