This 1976 Ford F250 Highboy is an XLT Ranger that is a 2 Owner
truck that came out of Montana. This is a very cool, stock, and
original Highboy that spent most of its life on a Ranch before
being sold to the 2nd owner. It is a very highly optioned truck and
we received some cool original documents with the truck (original
window sticker, original owners card, and original owners manual).
We were told the miles are original, but we have no way to prove
it. The body on this truck is original and solid with some bumps
and bruises and patina from years past. The good thing is that it
is a solid truck and we believe the body panels are all original.
The story goes this truck was repainted back in the 80's in it's
original Hatteras Green Metallic color. Obviously, you can't tell
that now with the Mountain Sun Patina and bumps and bruises it has,
but it still looks cool. We love these old trucks with character
like this!! It does have all of the XLT moldings which is nice. We
found the undercarriage to also be solid with no rust issues and
the bed has been used and it shows. The interior on this truck is
pretty original and in good condition. It has the original door
panels and it has the deluxe interior. The Bench Seat was recovered
and the carpet is also newer. The dash was in rough shape so they
added a new dash cover as well. The lights, gauges, heat, wipers,
horn are working.
Mechanically the truck is all original and still in great running
and driving condition. It has obviously been maintained over the
years because of how it runs and drives now, but the core of the
mechanicals are original. That being said it runs and drives
surprisingly well and can used as a weekend driver the way it sits.
The engine is the original 360 V8 that runs well with no smoke or
red flags. It holds great oil pressure. The transmission is the
np435 4 Speed manual and it shifts nice...clutch is strong. It has
the Divorced np205 Transfer Case and the 4WD is working like it
should be. It has a DANA 60 Rear Axle and a DANA 44 Front Axle and
it has 4.10 Gears. The truck does have Power Steering and Power
Front Disc Brakes.
We drive what we sell so that we can give you a first hand and
accurate report on how the vehicle runs and drives. Our pictures
are never touched up or photoshopped. What you see is an accurate
representation of the vehicle. We take consistent pictures and show
you everything so you can get a true representation of the
vehicle.
