For Sale: 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass in JEFFERSON, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

This car came directly to us from Southern Florida.  It caught my eye due to the striking color combination of the Cameo White paint and the Light Blue bucket seat interior.  The final enticement was the Muncie M20 four speed transmission.  I have to say that I don’t see many Cutlass Convertibles with manual transmissions.

The Cameo White has been repainted to a driver quality finish.  It looks good from ten feet, but you will see a few imperfections upon close inspection.  The same goes for the trim and the bumpers.  All look great unless you are inspecting the car closely.

The interior must have been refurbished.  It just looks to nice not to have been.  The upholstery and carpet are both in great condition.  The addition of the center console was a very nice touch.  Especially since it has integral cup holders.  There is one crack in the dash that is far to the left.

The top is so new that it still hasn’t fully stretched.  It took two of us to get it latched.  But then again, it was below zero when the photos were taken!  The convertible boot is also very nice.  It matches the upholstery and fits snugly.  The top window is glass.

The 350 Rocket V8 is four barrel equipped.  I was very impressed that it started so easily when the transport arrived on a bitter afternoon.  The original exhaust manifolds are present.  A dual exhaust system was installed with quiet mufflers.  A nice tone emits from the 442 style trumpet tips.

As you can see, a 442 rear bumper was installed.  It adds a bit of sportiness to the car.  When the new bumper was required to enhance the appearance, the wise decision was made to order the bumper with the cut-outs for the dual exhaust tips.

This car is a cruiser.  The wide ratio four speed spins a 2.78 gear ratio open rear axle.  The Super Stock III wheels are painted to match the Cameo body.  The radial whitewall tires are deep in tread and enhance both the appearance and the ride.

There are a few unresolved issues to disclose.  The wipers don’t sweep, the horn doesn’t blow and the AM/FM radio doesn’t play.  Due to the weather and shop space constraints, we were not able to address these issues.  In addition, the springs to lift the trunk are not attached, so you just need to lift it.

There is a jack, lug wrench and spare tire with cover in the trunk.  There are two sets of keys.  This car has a clean, clear Florida title.

I am not sure what the actual mileage is.  The odometer reads just over 60,000.  Due to the age of the vehicle and lack of any documentation, we are going to call the mileage “except from disclosure”.

You have spotted a very solid and very attractive Cutlass Convertible from Florida.  The color combination is stunning and the presence of the four speed is surprising.  There is no doubt that you will get lots of looks while on the road or at your local show or cruise night.  This car caught my eye and yours too!
