Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1965 Chevrolet C10 Custom
1/2 ton fleetside pickup truck. Finished in red over a grey
interior, this is a sharp truck that never fails to turn heads.
Slick paint over a straight body with excellent bumpers, grille,
trim and glass. Excellent panel gaps and door fitment. No known
rust issues with solid cab supports and corners. There are a few
marks on the tailgate and lower door sills from normal use but no
significant dents, dings, scratches or chips otherwise. The oak
boards in the bed show very light patina on the finish but are
still in good condition overall. American Racing alloy wheels are a
nice update.
The interior presents well with a very nice original steering
wheel, plus grey seat upholstery (with matching door panels) and
black carpet. Dash has been updated with a full complement of
modern gauges, which are all accurate and working.
Under the hood is a 307 cubic inch V8 mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic
400 automatic transmission. The engine was rebuilt approximately
5,000 miles ago and it breathes through a four-barrel Edelbrock
carb and Headman headers. It starts easily, runs great, makes good
power, and the transmission shifts smoothly. Thanks to coil springs
at all four corners, a 1960s Chevrolet is certainly the best
driving pickup of its era. With the V8, automatic transmission and
power steering, this truck drives particularly well. Stops take
some advance planning, though, because it's still running drum
brakes with no power assist (although the truck stops straight and
is definitely within the range of normal for drum brakes).
We are not aware of any maintenance needs and a truck like this
offers a lot of style for an excellent value - plus it's something
you can actually use and drive on a regular basis for either
business or pleasure. For more information about this 1965
