There is no Volkswagen that is more collectible, or fun-in-the-sun,
than the classic Bug convertible. This 1978 Volkswagen received a
partial restoration in 2014. It was repainted Alpine White and
minor mechanical upgrades were performed. The respray was well done
and is in good condition. Factory VW wheels mount Falken radials
and the manual white vinyl top is in excellent shape. The vinyl
interior has been carefully refreshed - seats, carpets, door cards
are all in good nick. Faux wood accents are incorporated into the
dash, which does have some imperfections in the pad. A Pioneer
AM/FM/CD player provides your music. We do not believe that the
1600cc engine has ever required a rebuild. Many folks have
experienced frustration with the moody 'emission friendly' fuel
injection used on this generation of the Bug. In this case,
converting the intake system to an aftermarket carburetor set-up
has solved the issue. This air-cooled engine now provides smooth
power to the 4-speed manual transaxle. Brakes are manual 4-wheel
drum and a free-flowing exhaust system has been installed. This
very collectible Volkswagen classic has been well preserved. Put
