With just 5,118 produced in 1979 and less than 7,300 between the two years it was in production (1978-79) this is one rare ride. Known as the "Last American Hotrod", this is one badass truck. At the time, due to the environmental regulations, all cars had to have a catalytic converter but since the lil' red was a truck, it was not required to have one. Knowing this, Dodge essentially designed the truck as a muscle car with a bed. With a modified eight cylinder 360 police engine that can produce 225 horsepower, the Lil' Red Express was the fastest American made production vehicle when released. This was a full, box off restoration and this truck is in incredible shape and condition throughout. The body of this forty one year old truck is flawless. We have given it a fresh coat of factory correct, red paint. The wood accents and bed liner has all been replaced and it looks amazing. Chrome exhaust stacks are in perfect condition and really make this ride shine. Brand new, factory correct Lil' Red Express stickers, striping and new wheels and tires complete this classic truck. The interior has also been given a fresh coat of red paint to match the exterior. New seat upholstery and carpet really clean this cab up nicely. It even has the original CB radio. The dash is original, complete with wood grain accents. This truck is absolutely show ready and dressed to impress. A truck like this is an absolute gem and so hard to come by. We are so proud of what we have accomplished and know this is one cool, classic ride that will not last long.
