Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. General Motors' C/K series of
trucks, which debuted for the 1960 model year, introduced several
features that revolutionized the light truck market. Two of their
more important innovations were a drop-center ladder frame, which
allowed the cab to sit lower, and an independent front suspension
that provided superior ride and handling qualities. The trailing
arm/coil spring rear suspension that came on many of these trucks
also contributed greatly to ride quality. It's a good thing, too,
because this 1964 Chevy C10 Custom has enough oats to require a
good suspension. Lurking beneath that hood is an LS1 5.7L V8 that's
been fortified with a performance tune from Nelson Performance, a
cold air intake, and an aluminum radiator. Additional quality
features include a 4L60E automatic transmission with O/D, a stout
12-bolt rear end filled with 3.73 gears and an Eaton Posi from
Quick Performance, power steering, power front disc brakes, Vintage
Air A/C, HD front and rear stabilizer bars, a rebuilt front end,
awesome 20x9 steel wheels, intermittent wipers, a Lokar billet
shifter, and a RetroSound stereo. This is the ultimate 'can't judge
a book by its cover' ride. Jeez, this thing is FUN! The look on a
Camaro driver's face after being dusted-off by a 1966 LWB C10 is
absolutely priceless. Another sweet sleeper from the Texas Hill
Country's premier source for classic trucks. Street Dreams
