This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 is all about being interesting. After all,
you not only have the distinctive five-window cab, but also
upgraded stroker V8 power, overdrive transmission, distinct paint,
an A/C interior, and an overall quality that tells you someone took
extra time working on this pickup. Built on a modern S-10 Frame
this 5 window is ready to be driven anywhere.
This minty green has a modern matte finish. It gives this
distinction while also delivering the soft glow you'd expect on a
classic. The bright grille, real wood in the truck bed, and
five-window cab add to this appealing classic look. But there's
also a ton of custom appeal. There are subtle touches, like the
pinstriping on the front and Green Hornet graphic on the rear.
Other elements loudly signal the extra power of this pickup, like
the modern American Racing polished alloys with an aggressive 18/20
inch front/rear stagger. But above all, this has a total look of
quality that comes on a build with less than 150 miles on it since
completion.
Inside, this truck is upgraded without losing the vintage attitude.
You see it in the classic bench seat that has been upgraded to a
premium diamond pattern on the bright cream color. The door panels
have been done to match, and the dash is finished in cream for a
well-done package. The steering wheel is upgraded, but with a nice
green and 1950s style that looks great. Beyond that is a full set
of Dolphin gauges fit in the factory housing. The extra-tall
shifter is a focal-point of the interior with its PBR tap handle.
And as cool as this looks, there's also R134a air conditioning to
keep you feeling cool.
You can instantly see the engine bay has been given quite a nice
upgrade. The smooth inner walls and firewall funnel all your
attention to the very tidy V8. And while this has the high-polish
finish to impress everyone, what you'll like the best is the style
behind the substance. It's a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor that has
Edelbrock aluminum heads, a hi-rise intake, and topped with a Holly
four-barrel carburetor. It sounds great with the dual Flowmaster
Exhaust! Plus, this was truly built to enjoy the drive. That means
features like an aluminum radiator w/electric fan, power steering,
power brakes w/discs up front, 10-bolt rear end, and an independent
front suspension. Plus, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission
means you're upgraded to overdrive. So feel free to show off this
truck near and far.
