Vehicle Description
The market for these K5s are heating up. So not only is the price
attractive on this 1990 Chevrolet Blazer K5 4x4, but as you dig
deeper, you'll also see a loaded A/C interior, fuel-injected V8
power, and a recently rebuilt overdrive transmission. It makes for
a great classic full-size SUV that's both affordable and
versatile.
This is the final few years for this generation K5 Blazer. That's
important to many, because they got a unique front end that
instantly identifies them as one of the youngest of the breed. But
even while it's younger, it's still absolutely a classic. It shares
the same well-creased lines that made this generation so imposing.
And while this has the proper look of a go-anywhere 4x4, there's
also a good sense of style with the bright chrome bumpers and a
more recent application of Mesa Brown paint. The reason why this
generation of K5 still gets plenty of attention is because we all
love the removable rear hardtop that gives this 4x4 a
convertible-like feeling. But this one ever looks great with the
roof in place because it's color-matched to the rest of the body.
In fact, it really has a nice level of color coordination where the
black lower section goes with the black wheels and wide side
mirrors, too.
The tan interior has a harmonized look with the exterior, and it's
done for comfort with a nice velour upholstery. You get high-back
bucket seats up front with a center console in-between, and the
rear has adult-sized room across the big bench. This is loaded with
the best features, including cold-blowing air conditioning, power
windows, power locks, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and
an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth. Another reason why you
want one of the latest of this generation are the little features
that weren't offered before. This includes power side mirrors, an
updated steering wheel, and shoulder belts for the rear. But one
thing that never changes is the electric rear window that drops
down so you have a big tailgate to sit on everywhere from the
ballgame to the campsite. And the proper trailer hitch means you
get to bring even more of the fun with you on adventures.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch motor. This
is from the era of fuel injection to let it fire up nicely, and the
header-fed dual exhaust makes a nice V8 tune. Plus, you'll spot all
the right supporting components, like an aluminum radiator,
serpentine belt system, and a new Optima red top battery. These
later K5s also got a four-speed automatic transmission with
overdrive, and this one was professionally rebuilt less than 1k
miles ago. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case works with the tall
ground clearance and Warn locking hubs to really give you a
go-anywhere kind of vehicle. And the power steering, power brakes,
and front discs mean it's great for in-town, too.
This is the well-priced true classic K5 4x4 that has all the
features you really want. So don't miss this deal, call today!
