The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Resto-Mod
Car History
The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette was one of the most distinct years from
the first-generation Corvette, and we have one with added power but
it still looks like a stock C1 Corvette.
We have a very nice 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible here at
Adventure Classics that has a LS1 Fuel-Injected V-8 engine,
automatic transmission, and red exterior over black interior.
Engine & Drivetrain Under the hood of our Corvette is a Chevrolet
5.7 litre LS1 Fuel-Injected V-8 engine putting out over 350
horsepower with the same amount of torque. The V8 inhales deeply
with its ram air system and exhales out the LS1 cast iron exhaust
headers thru the dual exhaust.
The LS1 even has Corvette script valve covers on top of the fuel
rail covers, chrome alternator and air conditioning compressor,
Power Brakes (Front Disc) electric fans cooling the aluminum
radiator, but best of all, this powerhouse has the LS1 4-speed
automatic transmission.
Interior
We have a great restored black twin bucket seat interior that has
seen a serious investment. It still has the "waterfall" separating
them as well as new looking door panels, dash with all the right
gauges and controls, carpeting, dual cowl dash, and a brand new
black cloth convertible top.
Exterior
All Corvettes always look great in red, but this looks very
sinister in its red paint job over the body panels and showcases
the side coves on both sides.
Add the correct shiny classic chrome bumpers, side scoop accents,
bright trim, good glass, and the addition of the competition-style
torque thrust wheels with black wall performance tires give it the
right stance.
Conclusion
The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible we have here at Adventure
Classics will give you a lot more refreshing bit of acceleration
with the LS1 Fuel-Injected V-8 engine and automatic transmission,
but the looks will keep all eyes on you as you drive it too.
