1949 Ford F1
If you have ever wanted time capsule of an early model Ford F1
pickup, then we have an Antique Automobile Club National First
Prize Winner from 1988 in the form of a completely restored 1949
Ford F1 here at Adventure Classics.
The AACA has National Awards recognize restoration excellence and
specially designed plaques are presented to the winners which this
F1 proudly displays for its win in 1988.
When you look at this truck everything you see is first-class, no
expense spared starting when you pop the hood your eyes will gaze
at the 226 cubic inch Ford Straight 6 engine with the sturdy
3-speed manual transmission.
This gem of an engine has all the correct parts you will love like
the correct orange painted block, intake, and head, the single
carburetor wearing the factory black oil-bath air cleaner, factory
exhaust headers, original type spark plug wires, plus all the
period correct belts, hoses, and parts.
The engine sits in a perfectly painted, clean and detailed engine
compartment that shows so well.
It is shifted by a column-shift three-speed manual transmission and
rides on body color-matched wheels with chrome poverty caps and
wide whitewall tires.
The F1 has a complete restoration so the interior is as new with a
matching painted dash with all the correct factory gauges, tanned
leather bench seat, painted door panels, vintage factory black
three-spoke steering wheel, floor mounted shifter and pedals, and
everything looking perfect.
The F-1 is finished in Birch Grey exterior and as can be seen by
the pictures, it has had numerous hours spent on body lines and
fit, interior is spot on, and the perfect glossy finish.
There's really not a lot to say that the pictures don't already
tell you that this truck is pretty much better than new.
Not only the paint on our F1 is a quality job, but also the black
front and rear bumpers and step plates, great grille, and matching
wooden bed floor, and the drop-down tailgate and straps.
The 1949 Ford F-100 we have here for sale at Adventure Classics is
a national award winning frame-off restoration that looks just as
it did in 1949.
It is a quality show-winning presentation that you will need to add
to your collection.
