There is no shortage of customization going on with this 1954
Mercury Monterey that's for sure! From the custom air cleaner (made
from a Harley Davidson fuel tank) to the frenched in double stacked
taillights, you can find little tiny modifications all over this
car. You can also see the big obvious modifications like the roof
being chopped by 5" in the front and 7" in the rear. A vintage
Nardi wheel sits right in front of the driver and just behind it, a
beautiful hand carved mahogany dash panel. Under the hood, and the
Harley tank is a ford 302 circa 1970's making ease of pulling the
car down the road. Out front is a totally rad chromed 1953 DeSoto
grille and bumper looking completely stock between the fenders. The
rear quarter panels have been extended with '57 Merc Turnpike
Cruiser skirts. Frenched stock taillamps (double stacked, so, two
sets each side) and frenched headlamps aren't the only lights as we
also have a nice pair of vintage spotlights. A fully custom made
hood scoop, shaved door handles, and frenched power antenna are
just a couple more of the body mods. 1955 Pontiac side trim (which
continues into the interior on the door panels give a little extra
flair that unless you knew better would think it just belonged
there. It is also finished up with stainless side pipes. For paint
we have Deltron Candy Lime Green and White pearl, with gold-leaf
flames, Ghost flames, obvious flames, ALL THE FLAMES and they're
all hand-striped. This beauty has mostly been driven to shows and
drive inns over the years. It has also taken a lot of trophies
home. Mostly Peoples Choice or Best in Show. Among the awards Best
Paint was awarded one year in the World of Wheels. It has been
featured in numerous Car Magazines including Hot Rod. Financing is
available on this beauty and trade ins are welcome.
