AMC always did things a little differently, and for those who pay attention, the rewards can be huge. For example, this is the first year for the now-legendary Javelin coupe. Add in the SST premium package and Kenosha's legendary low production numbers, and you've got a cool classic example of rare American muscle (only around 26,000 were produced.) But the coupe's desirability goes beyond just rarity. The original shade of Rally Green Metallic has been treated to a professional respray that lets the deep tone radiate in the sunlight. The V8 fires up nicely and runs strong to make for a terrific cruiser.
