Vehicle Description
This 1968 Ford Mustang has a well-done color combo that makes it a
solid-looking classic. Plus, it has a bit of GT-style flair that
gets backed up by a strong upgraded V8 package.
Acapulco Blue is a terrific color because the name instantly takes
your mind to winding roads driving along a clear blue ocean. So the
1968-correct hue gives this car distinction while also promoting
the open-road freedom that the first-generation Mustang is all
about. And this is a car you're really going to like showing off.
It has the right feeling of premium in details like a hint of
metallic in the paint and a tight black vinyl roof. There's even an
outstanding shine on all the brightwork, like the chrome bumpers,
trim, rocker panels, and bezels. Plus, this one has the sporty look
of a GT with the fog lights in the grille, big dual exhaust tips,
and correct GT polished wheels.
The black interior goes nicely with the premium vinyl roof for a
thoughtful appearance inside and out. The seats, carpeting,
headliner, and door panels has a good look that makes this coupe a
nice place to spend some time. There are also worthwhile upgrades
like an armrest center console w/cup holders and an AM/FM digital
tuner w/cassette. This is even a factory air conditioning car that
was converted to modern R134a refrigerant (it will need servicing
before blowing cold again.) These later first-gen Mustangs had an
interior that was even more driver focused. So you'll love the
front bucket seats, large gauge package, and a the optional deluxe
steering wheel.
The engine bay shows off the blue block of proper Ford power. But
the callouts tell us that this is an upgraded machine. The largest
small block in '68 was the 302, but this one has the mighty 351
cubic-inch V8. And that's far from the only upgrade. It also has
added power from a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock
Performer 351 intake, and long tube headers that feed into a
sweet-sounding dual exhaust. It's an extra-power kind of pony car,
and so you have upgrades like power brakes w/front discs and full
subframe connectors. Plus, features like power steering and the
three-speed automatic transmission make it a nice anytime
driver.
This iconic pony car offers added style and added power. It's one
