This 1977 Chevrolet Corvette is instantly attractive for its value
price. But as you dig deeper you're going to discover some cool and
distinct details. Plus, we all love extra power from a V8.
The '77 Vette is a unique car. It was one of the few years with the
modern-style color-matched bumpers met the classically attractive
flying buttress rear. This icon loves to celebrate the full sporty
style of the C3 with everything from the factory optional luggage
rack to an aftermarket ground effects kit that has been cleanly
installed. It really is a detail-oriented look, right down to how
the red ring around the aluminum wheels goes with the full red
paint package. So while there is room for improvement on this coupe
(and the value price certainly gives you the budget for it,)
there's also something quite attractive about a classic C3 that is
already this clean, complete, and sleek.
The custom theme continues on the inside. The red and white is a
terrific upgrade as it expertly intertwines on the seats and door
panels. So you know you're going to love leaving the T-tops out
just to show this off. And yes, it's hard to get more patriotic
than if you're hopping into this one wearing blue jeans. You've got
nice features like power windows, an armrest center console, and a
tilt steering column. There are also provisions for an AM/FM/CD
stereo and factory air conditioning (they will need servicing to
fully work again.) And of course, the best experience in a C3 is
when you hit the open road and get to watch the large speedo and
tach do their high-performance dance.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. But what
should really excite you is the work that went into this motor. It
has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Torker intake,
and a nice set of headers feeding into the dual exhaust. The motor
loves to fire right up, and the mild cam gives it the awesome tune
of power. And the fully independent suspension makes this one great
for the open road. Plus, the three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes make it a good
Style, substance, power, and value all come together on this red
