Maxmotive proudly presents the sinister 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Black Edition, available now from our Boca Raton Florida showroom. This classic Mustang has been fortified with 477 cubic inches of big block Ford with Dove heads and intake, plus a Sig Erson cam that was custom ground specifically for this application. The suspension is updated with a Mustang II rack & pinion and coilover shocks and it's lowered for just the right attitude. Coilovers and a multi-link setup keep the rear under control. The Black Edition look starts with high gloss black exterior paint augmented with matte black treatment on the hood, grille, emblems, bumpers, deck lid, and taillight panel. The Larry Shinoda designed spoilers and sport slats are flat black as well, just as they were on optioned out Mach 1s or Boss 302s. The drivetrain is stout, starting with the 12-inch L&L flywheel, and a Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission and Hurst shifter with T-handle transmitting the torque to a 9-inch Ford rear with 3.25 gears. The interior is stock Mach 1 but also with a black-out treatment, save for the beautiful wood rim 3-spoke Mach 1 steering wheel. A Pioneer head commands powered Focal speakers with Mosconi amplification to fill the cabin with sound, although there's a 2.5-inch custom exhaust system that bellows some great tones as well. The braking system is up to the task utilizing SSBC 4-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, plus an E-Stopp electric emergency brake. Staggered 19-inch Niche wheels finish the foreboding looks of the car mounting 255 and 285 Nitto Invo tires.
