Vehicle Description
This 1950 Dodge Power Wagon is re-imagined, refreshed, refurbished,
and re-engineered, starting with a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. It
was custom fabbed on a flat fender Power Wagon frame. Driveability
and capability are top priorities. The Cummins teams up with a 47RH
automatic with a 2200 stall converter and shift kit that can handle
the load and make driving a pleasure. The original transfer case is
retained. Remanufactured axles with 4.86 gears aggressively apply
the power to the wheels. A Holley fuel pump draws from a custom
aluminum fuel tank. Four wheel disc brakes lurk behind 20-inch
chrome Fuel wheels with big 37.5-inch Toyo Open Country tires. This
is a big, lifted, diesel powered 4x4 beast, yet the interior can
best be described as luxurious. It coddles you in beautiful leather
bucket seats; offers the convenience of a custom center console;
and features push-button start, a touchscreen system with Kenwood
audio, four speakers and a subwoofer; Vintage Air heat; power
windows; tilt steering column; and a backup camera. Entering is
easy thanks to retractable electric running boards. The
performance-oriented cockpit greets you with Auto Meter white face
gauges, a polished steering wheel on a tilt column, and bright
aluminum pedals with rubber pads. The truck is finished in a deep
metallic blue contrasting smartly with the saddle tan interior as
well as the chrome wheels. This 1950 Dodge Power Wagon is a worthy
attraction at any show, and is just as beautiful from behind the
wheel.
