muscle car in history, the Shelby Cobra. The Cobra model went on to
become the first American-made FIA World Champion in 1965 evolving
into the ultimate expression of power and performance with the 427
S/C. In Celebration of 50 years of the 427 Cobras Shelby American
release a limited run of 50 427S/C CSX4000's.
*These 50th anniversary Cobras feature a fully independent
suspension, upgraded disc brakes. The 50th Anniversary edition
Cobra also sets itself apart with specialty anniversary logos and
badging, premium interior materials, a 23-gallon racing-style fuel
tank, powder coated frame, and custom gauges. Shelby is currently
developing a special optional engine package to further distinguish
the limited-edition Cobra. The 50th Anniversary Aluminum-Bodied
Cobras are finished in Polished Bodies with Brushed Le Mans Twin
Stripes.
*CSX4587 is an ideal example of an Aluminum 50th Anniversary 427S/C
Shelby Cobra. CSX4587 has never been completed and is still
available as a rolling chassis and still on the original Shelby
Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MCO).
