True 1 owner car that was ordered with a 327, 4-speed and a posi.
Amazing original documentation- order form, window sticker,
invoice, IRS transaction, warranty booklet, and copy of original
title. It underwent a body off frame restoration and we have
pictures.
EXTERIOR: The body is absolutely straight, panels fit square and
flush. I didn't see any bubbles, dents or cracking. Doors shut
beautifully. Repainted it's original Almond Fawn metallic color. It
has a very polished, smooth glossy clearcoat finish. The door jambs
are clean, new weatherstrips. The chrome and trim is a combination
of very good original and new. It has a rear antenna, bowtie mirror
and a mint set of wire hubcaps with spinners. It has cross-flag
emblems which designate the 327. New radial white stripe tires.
Original T-3 headlamps.
INTERIOR: It has it's original interior still in really good
condition. The carpets have been replaced. The seats are original
with just minor wear on the driver side. The dash area is all clean
original right down to the radio. It has the correct bench seat
shifter on the floor with a chrome ball and reverse lockout. The
headliner is mint. All the interior lights work. There are
seatbelts in the front.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Detailed like factory new. The 327-250
horsepower is all original from oil pan to air cleaner. It has the
original 4 barrel carb with choke tube, stock manifolds, valve
covers, even the spark plug shields. All the metal has a smooth
semi gloss finish, bottom of the hood has hood insulation. All the
components look new- fuel pump, alternator, wiper motor, cap and
wires. A Delco battery is bolted down properly, has spring clamp
cables. There's even a glass bottle for the washer fluid
concentrate.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Super clean trunk compartment. Solid metal with
a very nicely applied spatter finish paint. The spare tire is new
on a painted rim. The jack assembly is restored. The bottom of the
trunk lid and the jamb are painted nice. There is new weatherstrip,
3 piece mat and jacking instructions decal.
UNDERSIDE: Wow, it is detailed like a model car. The body was
lifted off the frame, the chassis was completely rebuilt and
detailed. The front end steering and suspension is new. The rear
suspension is all new. The frame is smooth and painted semi gloss
black. Looking up at the motor it is immaculate. It has correct
canister type oil filter and new starter. The original 4-speed is
immaculate too, new linkage. The u-joints are new, driveshaft is
restored. The original 3.36 posi rear is restored to new. The
brakes were completely rebuilt, new lines and e- brake assembly.
New fuel system- tank, straps, sending unit, lines etc. The metal
floors, braces, rockers etc are rock solid. They were prepped and
neatly sprayed with a thin layer of undercoat. The body was
reattached to the chassis with new bushings. This is one of the
freshest, most spotless undersides I've seen.
This car is a great example of restored and real nice original
condition. The 327, 4-speed with a posi is a cool combination. The
original paperwork is a rare find. Bottom line it is a special
car!
