Pontiac Historical Society documented as a real GTO with an H.O.
motor. #s matching motor and trans. This is a slick looker too.
EXTERIOR: This GTO is slick. The arrow straight Starlight black
paint, hideaway lights and big polished wheels really make a
statement. It appears to have clean original metal. The gaps are
spot on and the rubber bumper even fits real well. It is smooth all
over including the lower areas. No bubbles. The paint is polished
smooth and glossy. The headlight doors and grills are excellent,
they have new actuator seals and work properly. New black vinyl
top. New windshield. The jambs are clean, weather strips are
excellent. The Intro wheels are 19s in front, 20s in back and extra
wide. They have performance tires.
INTERIOR: The original seats were recushioned and custom
upholstered in genuine leather, the back seat was done to match.
Down on the floor it has custom cut carpet with leather bound edges
and embroidered floor mats. There is also the Hurst dual gate
shifter sitting between the bucket seats. In front of me is a
leather wrapped dash pad, factory gauges and tachometer and a
modern gauge cluster mounted down below. A retro stereo fills the
factory whole, new 6x9 speakers in back. New glovebox liner, the
owner's manual and warranty booklet are there. The mirror is new,
visors are reupholstered, headliner is excellent, dome light works.
The door panels and armrests are new. New blower switch, headlight
switch, flasher can, speedometer cable.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 400-360 hp H.O. motor. Previous
owner states it was rebuilt less then 2,000 miles ago. New points,
condenser, PCV valve and automatic choke. It is dressed up with a
set of cast aluminum Pontiac valve covers, billet plug wire
holders, aluminum air cleaner and a chrome alternator. New power
brake system with a cadmium plated booster. The wiper motor looks
recent. It also features power steering. New hood hinges,
insulation, decal, front filler panel.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Original quarter panels with no splices. Grey
spatter finish paint, has a trunk mat with a matching tire cover.
It has a jack and spare. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are
painted slick. It has new decals, weather strip and seat
divider.
UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it's been gone through and
painted up nice. Looking up at the motor it is clean looking, fuel
pump and starter look new. #s matching Turbo 400 automatic,
previous owner claims it was rebuilt less then 2,000 miles ago. In
back it has lowering springs and air shocks. Newer Flowmaster
exhaust with chrome tips. The fuel tank was restored, new straps.
It has disc brakes in front, the calipers look new. E-brake
assembly looks complete. The original floors are really clean and
solid. The inner lower rockers and quarters are bone dry and still
have the rubber flaps over the drain holes.
This is a gorgeous GTO with #s matching H.O. motor and what appears
to be original rust free metal. Rare investment grade with some sex
appeal!
