The introduction of the Mustang in 1964 created a new class of
automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang's styling, with its
long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host
of competition including Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others.
The 1966 White Mustang Coupe we have here at Skyway Classics is a C
Code Engine with a real 289 Cubic Inch engine and is extremely
close to factory original.
Mechanical
The 289 cubic inch V8 engine puts out 200 horsepower from the
factory and this one looks entirely original right down the Ford
blue paint on the engine block, intake, valve covers, and stock
factory correct air cleaner assembly.
It does have a custom radiator, modified electronics, and Edelbrock
valve cover breathers and it sits in the clean and detailed engine
compartment looking just as id did when it was brand new.
Interior
The interior is all as it was when it was factory original. It has
the twin two-tone Mustang Pony teal/white vinyl buckets up front
and the matching rear seat, dash, and door panels.
You will like the white Mustang sport steering wheel, instrument
panel that has all the correct factory gauges, and features a 140
mph speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge
and ammeter in five round dials.
Exterior
On the outside, our Mustang wears the white paint job flowing over
all the iconic body lines and accented by the full length blue
racing stripes from the lower front all the way to the bottom rear
bumper, as well as stripes from wheel well to wheel well on the
lower sides.
It has the blacked out grille and out back the unique fuel filler
cap on the panel between the tail lamps, with dual exhaust exiting
underneath.
Our Mustang rides on the factory styled chrome wheels on blackwall
performance tires.
This wheel and tire combination is totally fitting on this classic
pony car, and combined with the square set body, they give this
Mustang a stance that is just magnificent.
Conclusion
The 1966 The 1966 White Mustang C Code Engine Coupe we have here at
Skyway Classics has great looks, outstanding performance, and these
coupes have become as collectable as any other car, and probably
more so in the future.
If you are in the market for a super clean, sporty and original
