Vehicle Description
1979 Pontiac Trans Am SE Bandit For Sale - PHS Documentation,
Owners Manual LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1979 Pontiac
Trans Am SE Bandit Originally released in 1976 as part of Pontiac's
50th Anniversary celebration, the Special Edition featured a couple
of firsts for Trans Am: Starlight Black paint and Hurst Hatches,
which were early T-tops added post-assembly at Hurst-Campbell
Industries. The Pontiac Tran Am starring alongside Burt Reynolds in
the smash-hit Smokey and the Bandit on the silver screen really
helped the popularity of Pontiac's last performance car. It defied
the odds and was the last muscle car standing, battling on with its
strangulated engines but, the styling, graphics and overall polish
made the car truly memorable. This 1979 Pontiac Trans Am was sold
new at Leo Payne Pontiac Inc. in Lakewood, Colorado. Ordered in the
Starlight Black paint with the Y84 special edition package
including the iconic gold graphics complemented by a Black
interior. Factory ordered with Y84 special edition package, this is
one of only 1,107 cars ever produced with the L78 400 ci engine
coupled with the 4-speed manual transmission. Under the hood is the
numbers matching L78 6.6 liter engine sending power to a numbers
matching 4-speed manual transmission. As per the Pontiac Historical
documents, the original owner ordered his Bandit with a host of
options including air conditioning, heavy duty battery, remote
control deck lid, rear window defroster, soft ray glass, lamp
group, floor mats, vanity mirror, power door locks, power windows,
super cooling radiator, tilt steering wheel, custom trim
group-velour and Am/Fm radio complete with CB. This authentic
Bandit is a great example that comes documented with PHS documents
and owner's manual. If you have always dreamed of owning a Bandit
car just like Burt Reynolds drove, then this is your chance! Hat
and mustache not included. Additional Details: 1979 PONTIAC TRANS
